St. Vlas Holiday Village is located on the Black Sea coast and in the Southern slopes foot of the Eastern Stara Planina. The village is located in close vicinity to Bourgas - 40 km, Nessebar - 8 km, Slanchev Bryag (Sunny Beach) - 4 km, the Paradise
Beach - 1.5 km, and Elenite - 2 km.
St Vlas was initially founded in 2 century A.C. as a Thracian settlement named Larissa. Later, in 14 century A.C. it accepted the name of St Vlas - the stockbreeder, healer, and protector of salesmen. During the years of Ottoman rule there were a few names of the village and all of them were related to the monasteries nearby. The Turks used to call it Kyuchyuk Manastir, and in the registers, it has been entered as the village of Manastir (Monastery).
The excellent combination of mountains and sea turns St Vlas into a village with unique climate favorable to the curative climate influence on diseases of the lungs. The beach strips are about 1.5 km long in total and 15 m wide on average. The main beaches are the Central Beach (from the Sineva Hotel to the Sun Palace Complex), the Small Beach (along the camping side from the Sun Palace Complex to the Riviera Complex), and the Beach to the New Marina Yacht Port (below the Manastira Complex). The water base of the local fishermen is located at the Eastern end of the beach strip as well as the modern Yacht Port next to it, which is under construction.
The region where the village is located is the largest tourist area in Bulgaria. In practice it is the unrecognized Bulgarian Riviera formed by Aheloy, Ravda, Slanchev Bryag, Zora, the Sanatorium (between St Vlas and Zora), Intsaraki, St Vlas, the Paradise Beach (Robinson) and Elenite. It is assumed that in the near future this enormous and incredible tourist zone will reach the Cape of Emine located just 5 km away from St Vlas.

Here are the main characteristics of a standard mortgage loan in Bulgaria are, as stated by two of the leading banks in the country - United Bulgarian Band and First Investment Bank.
UBB - United Bulgarian Bank
The client segments are the citizens of the European Union, USA and Canada. The minimum amount of the credit is Eur 7500, the maximum is Eur 250 000 for a period of up to 20 years. A person must be at least 23 years old to be considered eligible and the age plus the loan period shouldn't exceed 65 years. For the first year the interest rate is 1.5% or 5.9% for the first 3 years. There is a standard interest rate for the rest of the loan period which is 6.5%. The bank has an application fee of BGN 20 and an administration fee of 0.5%. The prepayment fee is 5%.
First Investment bank
Every able local or foreign citizen is considered an eligible borrower. However, if the acquired property is a plot, a local citizen should acquire a property. There are no limits concerning the maximum loan amount. The maximum term is 240 months with a loan purpose - acquisition of a real estate.
There is an option of a period when the borrower pays only interest which may be up to 12, 24 or 36 months. After it equal monthly installments during the loan term are paid. In case of overdue payments the bank charges a penalty interest rate. The application fee is Eur 50 and the management fee is 2%. You can read more on the fees and charges on their website. The applicant's income should be 1.50 times the monthly installments. The minimum income that should remain per member of the household is 500 Eur for adults and 250 Eur for children.
The term for approving the application is usually up to 2 days.
