According to the regulations related to real estate property deals in Bulgaria, verification of the contract by a notary is not a mandatory requirement for it to enter into force, the legal relations between the parties are in effect upon signing of the written contract. An indispensable part of the contract is the taking-over certificate which details the condition of the property and all the belongings in it.
